which illustrations are suitable...?

From what you can see, the website offers a healthy range of images, ranging from the traditional to the very edgy, covering all subject matters. As much as great quality, a good collection needs diversity. There are never too many images as each illustrator has their own, unique style and thus always something new to add. Everything you see on StockIllustrations has our stamp of approval.

delivery...

Once we have your signed contract and have sent you your unique username and password for the admin area, you may start uploading your images using the UploadScaler tool. This unique tool allows you to upload multiple images quickly and efficiently. (Please ensure your internet connection is fast enough otherwise you may experience some problems!)

specifications...

Below are the guidelines and image specifications for getting your work onto Stock:

-High resolution; The Illustrations must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at 8 x 12 inch or 29cm x 21cm (DIN-A4-format). If available a resolution of 300 dpi at 12 x 16 inch (DIN-A3-format) or 42cm x 29.7cm is preferred.

-Please ensure images have about a 5000 pixel dimension.

-Please upload raster-based images (vector-based images have to be rasterised).

-It's possible to upload .tiff and .psd files (Photoshop files have to be reduced to background/one single layer). Our system will then convert these to .jpeg files, so please avoid uploading .jpegs as they will be 'doubled' which may turn it pink or lower the quality of the image.

-Please upload in RGB, uploading CMYK causes problems.

-Quality: only original scan or created files can go live. Any additional interpolation or size increase (to reach a higher file size) will lead to rejection as images will be pixelated/blurry.

-Please do not upload photographs of images, the quality will simply not be good enough to sell.

licenses, keywording, descriptions etc...

Once you are logged in, there is a step by step guide in the admin area of your profile page, to ensure successful uploading. After keywording is complete, your images will be approved and made live, after which you can add detailed descriptions, in order to optimise the searching process.

If selling your work elsewhere, please be sure to tell us of any licenses your images acquire, in order to avoid any confusion when clients are purchasing images from us.

bespoke illustration...

If someone should come upon your work and want to commission a piece for specific project, we can negotiate prices, timelines and of course paperwork, on your behalf (at a 17.5% commission fee).** If you'd rather handle commissions yourself or let your agency handle them, you are entitled to.

**Provided you tell us if you will be unavailable for a long period of time (eg. holidays) and are in regular contact to keep us updated of your contact details and what you are doing, in case you are unable to meet a potential deadline for a job you may have been commissioned to do.

Isn’t it about time you started on filing in the form?? artist submissions
